Dining in precautions
For the time being, we will be operating a little different than you might remember. We've made the necessary changes to our dining room based on the state regulations.
ALL guests must wear a mask when they arrive, move through the restaurant, or are interacting with our staff.
ALL guest must be mindful of maintaining a 6 foot distance from other diners and staff when moving through our space.
ALL guests must be respectful of of dining times. This means showing up for your reservation on time, and the limitations at the table.
We are currently allowing 2 hours of dining time per reservation. Please be respectful of this limitation at the table so we may safely serve all guests. If you would like a longer experience, please reserve for the second seating between 7:30-8:30.
Please arrive promptly for your reserved time to allow for the comfortable amount of time to enjoy your meal.
We will not be able to seat parties early, and are not allowed to accommodate standing parties while they wait.
A late arrival for your reservation time will result in a shorter experience or canceled reservation.
We kindly ask that if you do not feel you can comply with the current regulations, that you indulge in take-out and wait for us to open under different circumstances. With only 10 tables, it is important to us + our teams lively hood that we persevere in the coming months.
deadhorse hill is a seasonal american restaurant located on main street in downtown Worcester. A restaurant inspired by the New England landscape. We rely on the hard working farmers throughout the northeast and the fishermen along the coast to provide the best possible food at the table.
Our warm hospitality and comforting service led by Julia Auger compliment the rustic elegance of our chef Jared Forman. Together, our kitchen and service teams provide a unique experience driven by passion.
To mirror our dedication to the hands that bring our ingredients into the kitchen, a craft cocktail program designed to accompany the season using local ingredients and small batch spirits is lead by bar director Sean Woods. At the table Julia provides a selection of naturally made wines of smaller grower producers from around the world, capturing the landscape of a farm and the history of a place.
In the evening the dining room offers a prix fixe menu that speaks of the season, varying based on the availability of ingredients.
We are located in what used to be the first floor of the 'Bay State House' hotel which served as the headquarters for the Worcester Automobile Club, who held the Dead Horse Hill Climb from 1905-1911. The hotel itself was a prominent location for social, political, and business meetings, likely in part due to their world class restaurant.
